MADRID, March 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Belgian Club Bruges has announced this Wednesday the dismissal of the English coach Scott Parker after the 5-1 defeat suffered last Tuesday against the Portuguese Benfica in the round of 16, which left him out of the Champions League.
“Scott Parker is no longer manager of Club Bruges. Parker was appointed as the new manager of Club Bruges on December 31, replacing Carl Hoefkens. Before joining Jan Breydel, the former England international led teams such as Fulham and Bournemouth,” the club said in a statement.
The former manager of Fulham and English Bournemouth was relieved as coach after only 12 games in charge of the Belgian team. The coach, who arrived at the club on December 31 to replace Carl Hoefkens, only managed two victories. At the moment, Bruges is 4th in the Belgian League, 41 points behind the leader, Genk.
