MADRID, March 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Real Sociedad coach, Imanol Alguacil, highlighted this Wednesday the strengths of AS Roma in the preview of the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 that will face the Italian team this Thursday, at the same time that he acknowledged being ” excited” and “wanting” to win the Olympic Games in Rome.
“It is a historic rival, with a mythical stadium and a great coach. The rival is in a great moment and it will not be easy, but obviously we are in the round of 16 of the Europa League and all the conditions exist to be excited. We know It’s going to be a big, huge challenge, but we’re excited and looking forward to the time of the game”, said the coach at a press conference in statements to the club’s media.
The Basque coach praised the figure of José Mourinho and the characteristics he prints on his teams. “It will be difficult because they are in a great moment. Mourinho’s teams are very competitive, capable of pressing up, strong and well. He is capable of giving you the ball and not suffering in the lower midfield because the whole team works at a level defensive. They concede very little and from midfield up it is very powerful. Capable of generating a goal chance in any transition”, he pointed out.
Lastly, the Real Sociedad coach wanted to thank all the fans who had come to Rome for their effort. “I want to thank them once again for coming and joining us in this great game and I hope that with the game we play they have a happy return home. That would be great news, since they come back happy,” he concluded.
