Bayern returns PSG to its nightmare in the Champions League
The German team advances to the quarterfinals at the cost of another poor Parisian campaign in Europe with Messi and Mbappé missing

Bayern Munich defeated Paris Saint-Germain (2-0) this Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, another victory on track by the minimum as in the first leg but with a superiority that became palpable in the second half, when Choupo-Moting’s goal arrived, another ex to fire the French.
The German team, champion for the sixth and last time in 2020 at the expense of PSG, was superior to Messi and Mbappé in the locker room return. Vitinha finished recovering the ball with the goalkeeper out of his place but his shot took it under De Ligt’s sticks. PSG, who lamented the injuries in defense of Marquinhos and his substitute Mukiele, lost their pulse after the break, with more actions from Musiala and a keen Choupo-Moting against his former team, as Coman did in the first leg.
The Cameroonian forward managed to see the goal but it was canceled because Müller put his leg offside, but Bayern took out the steamroller, erasing the rival midfield. Julian Nagelsmann’s men smelled blood and, in pressing Verratti, found the ball easy for Choupo-Moting to make it 1-0. Christophe Galtier’s men reacted however they could but Bayern had Messi and Mbappé well controlled.
Thus, it was Sergio Ramos who, with two head butts, was able to get the visitors into the fight. The Spanish defender missed by centimeters, but the German discipline, while putting in more wood with Mané or Cancelo, counteracted with the lack of control of a PSG that conceded the 2-0 impotence in the last minute through Gnabry.
