Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed that the Brazilian forward Neymar Jr has undergone “successful” surgery this Friday for his right ankle ligament problems in Doha, after his injury on February 20 in the Ligue 1 match against Lille, which will make him miss the remainder of the season.

“Neymar Jr underwent surgery late this Friday morning at the ASPETAR Hospital in Doha, by doctors Peter D’Hooghe (ASPETAR), James Calder (Fortius Clinic London) and Rodrigo Lasmar (Brazilian National Team). The intervention it was successful,” the club said in a statement.

PSG, who could no longer count on the ’10’ in this Wednesday’s defeat in the Champions League round of 16 against Bayern Munich, which meant the elimination of the Parisians, confirmed that the Brazilian will now continue “a rest and care protocol”.
