Soccer players such as Pedri González, Pablo Martín, ‘Gavi’ and Gabri Veiga, in the men’s category, and Claudia Pina and Athenea del Castillo, in the women’s category, are part of the best eleven of the 2022-2023 season for Soccer Draft, the awards of the Spanish soccer academy, which also recognized the national coach Luis de la Fuente.
In the men’s Golden Eleven, the goal is for Álvaro Aceves (Valladolid), with Arnau Martínez (Girona), Alejandro Francés (Zaragoza), Rafa Marín (Real Madrid) and Alejandro Balde (FC Barcelona), in defense, with Pedri and Gavi (FC Barcelona), Gabri Veiga (Celta) and Nico Williams (Athletic) in the middle, and Ansu Fati (FC Barcelona) and Jon Karrikaburu (Real Sociedad) as forwards.
As for the best eleven women, Enith Salon (Valencia) is the goalkeeper, with a defensive line made up of Oihane Hernández and Oihane Valdezate (Athletic), Laia Codina (FC Barcelona) and Olga Carmona (Real Madrid) and a midfield with Tere Abelleira and Athenea del Castillo (Real Madrid), and Anna Torrodà and Asun Martínez (Valencia), and with Claudia Pina (FC Barcelona) and Ana Marcos (Valencia) above.
In addition, the Iñaki Sáez Award, which is given to the best Spanish academy coach, went unanimously to Luis de la Fuente, the current head coach, and the awards for the clubs that have most promoted the male and female academy have gone to Real Betis and Athletic Club, respectively. The Values Awards have been granted to Pol Fortuny (Real Madrid) and Judit Pujols (FC Barcelona)
The Soccer Draft Technical Committee is made up of all the Spanish coaches in the lower categories, both male and female, and members of La Liga, the AFE and the AEAF, as well as other experts in youth soccer.
